From Ecclesiasticus Wisdom becomes known through speech, and education through the words of the tongue. Never speak against the truth, but be ashamed of your ignorance. Do not be ashamed to confess your sins, and do not try to stop the current of a river. Do not subject yourself to a fool, or show partiality to a ruler. Fight to the death for truth, and the Lord God will fight for you. |

These are the usual timings. Check "Calendar" above for current updates |

General Convention, July 5-12, 2012, at Indianapolis, Indiana The General Convention is the primary governing and legislative body of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. With the exception of the Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Constitution and Canons, it is the ultimate authority in the Episcopal Church. |
General Convention comprises two houses: the House of Deputies and the House of Bishops. It meets once every three years; however, the House of Bishops meets regularly in between sessions of General Convention. All members of the Episcopal Church are welcome to visit General Convention as observers or support workers. For more information, visit the Convention website HERE. |
Join us for Morning Prayer and Bible Study Fridays at 7:30 am In the spirit of the 16th Century Reformation, Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Cramner and other church leaders wanted the prayers and scriptures of the Church of England to be accessible to everyone, the “common” people, to help them develop an individual relationship with God. |
Inspired by Benedictine monks who prayed multiple services daily, Cranmer condensed their prayers into two, one for morning and one for evening. |
Join us Friday mornings at 7:30 am. Immediately following our Morning Prayer, you are invited to stay for a short study of the scripture readings appointed for the following Sunday. Bible Study is led by The Rev. Raymond Raney, Canon for Communication of the Episcopal Diocese of the Rio Grande. Next Sunday's readings can always be seen from this website. Click on "Lections" above. |
